Tractatus Pathetico-Poeticus [1, 2, 3]

1 History is all that happens.

2 What happens--an act--is the passage of current events.

3 A pathetic* picture of acts is a feeling.

  2. Embarrassing oversight there, which I just corrected. As I mentioned earlier here, the English translation of "Bestehen" as "existence" (which suggests pangrammatical transposition as "essence") is imprecise. "Bestehen" is better rendered "obtention", which is almost obstruction (or might be understood as the result of a kind of "standing in the way of") and therefore suggests "passage" here, "[ebb and] flow" elsewhere ("Bestehen [und Nichtbestehen]").
