Beauty is Difficult

The poem must extricate
its emotion
from the dominant practice,
achieving beauty.

In philosophy,
the difficulty is
science.
The work of philosophy frees
the concept
from its domination by theory,
achieving beauty.

Clarity in thought.
Intensity in feeling.
It isn't easy.
